Dear Monthly Chick Leader,

Thank you so much for leading the Carthage Chicks! Our community is blessed to have women with so many talents willing to step forward and show love, hope, and support to the families of the Pregnancy help Center. Without you, we truly believe this program would not be the wonderful blessing it is to so many! The words ‘thank you’ are just not enough!

Chicktime Carthage meets on the 2nd Saturday of every month from 1:00-3:00pm at the South Carthage Missionary Baptist Fellowship Hall, 125 Davis Street South, Carthage, TN 37030

Here are a few general guidelines for leading a Chicktime Workshop with the Pregnancy Help Center

Your Programs:

     – You will need to provide a 1 hour activity based on your passion. For example, if you love hosting parties you can host a baby shower for your Chicktime event and together we can stock the shelves at the Pregnancy Help Center. If you love crafting, perhaps teach a class on making wreaths so that the volunteers can each make a handmade wreath for their home as well as work together to make one beautiful wreath to hang at the Pregnancy help center (for workshops that require materials, you may charge a small fee supply if you wish with a $5 maximum fee… but you are responsible for providing the materials to make the ‘gift’ for the Pregnancy Help Center). If you love to clean or decorate we can help you craft a workshop to spiffy up the Pregnancy Help Center. Perhaps you love Zumba and can teach a class for your Chicktime event and we can collect donations for the Pregnancy Help Center rather than charge for the class. Please see the last page for more program ideas.

-Once you decide what program you will provide, call Renee at 615-281-7923 and discuss your ideas with her. At that time, she will let you know if your activities are appropriate for the Pregnancy Help Center

-We meet at the South Carthage Missionary Baptist Fellowship Hall, 125 Davis Street South, Carthage, TN 37030 (unless you are leading a sprucing up activity and then we will meet at the Pregnancy Help Center). We normally have about 10 women in attendance ages 12yrs and up. We depend on YOU to bring about half of the volunteers by promoting your Chicktime event in your circles… that way we can expose more local women to the amazing work the Pregnancy Help Center provides. We ask that you prepare for 10 people to attend, providing enough materials for all to participate, but please understand that on any given month the attendance number can change. We will discuss this ahead of time, while planning your event, so you know how many to prepare for.

-You are responsible to fund all materials for your programs. If you need fundraising advice and support, please contact Renee Smith.

-No idea is too big or too small for the Carthage Chicks. If you have a great idea, run it by us, don’t think its too crazy or wonder in the women will like it. If you have a passion for what you are doing, you will bring everyone in the room on board with you. We promise!

Your Volunteers:

-We encourage you to bring friends (with a  goal of recruiting 3-5 friends and/or family) to take part in the Chicktime program you lead. Any female 12yrs and up is welcome! We hope they have a wonderful experience and want to come back as much as they can and enjoy the Chicktime Carthage monthly events.

Invitations:
-Once Renee has the information for your event, we will generate an invitation to your Chicktime event,
Chicktime Carthage will send out the invitation for you using our database to our regular volunteers. You are encouraged to send the invitation out to your circle of friends and family, share on Facebook, as well as print them off and distribute to your community if you desire. On that note, please encourage your friends to fill out our web form and sign up to join Chicktime Carthage. Simply click the subscribe button at the bottom of every page to open the web form. Make sure to select TN-Carthage from the drop down menu. You are welcome to send a link the web form to your friends, post it on your Facebook page, and even include it as part of your email signature!

What to wear:
-We typically wear jeans, capris/long shorts and Chicktime t-shirts. We will have Chicktime shirts available prior to each Chicktime. T-shirts are available with $20 donation… we encourage you to get one because it helps spread the word about Chicktime! 100% of the money goes to support the Pregnancy Help Center!
