Why I serve a leadership role with Chicktime: I grew up with a happy, loving and encouraging family. It was this foundation, and continued faith, that gave me the strength to overcome addiction and physical abuse in adulthood. With a second chance in life, God has placed it on my heart to share this encouragement and love with children and women who are less fortunate. After volunteering with Chicktime Charleston, the opportunity arose to lead my own chapter in Charleston’s Park Circle. It is my honor to not only serve our community, but to share this calling with like minded women!

My passions and gifts: I love people, especially our little ones. It is my calling in life to be a foster mother and I have been licensed since 2016. I strongly believe we measure our success in life by how much we give away, not how much we receive. Giving of one’s self and time is the most valuable gift we can offer. Since my passion is not prejudice, I am also an animal rights advocate and practicing vegan.

My hobbies and interests: With a Bachelor’s in Fine Art, I love to create new things. I love gardening, music, dancing (especially tap dancing), motorcycle riding, traveling, socializing, and all things organic!

Why I Serve a leadership role with Chicktime:
I serve a leadership role with Chicktime because I felt the need to work with abused and neglected children.  I just couldn’t find the right organization that worked with my crazy life before I found Chicktime.  I also didn’t feel qualified to help these children. When I realized Chicktime was about planning fun events and spending time with the children, I knew I could do that.  Finding out Charleston was without a chapter was a huge disappointment, I felt led to contact Chicktime and see if I could help establish the Charleston chapter and today, we now have 3 chapters in Charleston!

My Passions and Gifts:
I LOVE playing with kids and getting involved with children.  I volunteer with my church as an AWANA leader and being fun and silly is a true gift of mine.

My Hobbies and Interests:
I am a hairstylist and I am obsessed with hair and makeup and glitter and anything that involves getting dressed up.
