Note from your founders (Diane and Donnette)... about why we are starting this new adventure! We have a strong passion for the mission of Chicktime (Chicktime.com). As volunteers, we have served the broken at New Life Treatment facility through Chicktime for the past several years. For months now, God has been tugging on our hearts to do more, but we haven't (until now!) slowed down enough to listen to HIM. In a way that only God can, we both finally slowed down and heard him tell us the same thing....and so we are boldly answering HIS call to branch out and start another chapter of Chicktime at St. Peter's/St. Joseph's Children's Home (St. PJ's). We have been part of each other's faith journey for a while now, and want you invite you on that journey with us. For years, we have held each other accountable to learn and serve God. Part of that faith journey has been sharing our past with each other, which included sharing our feelings of rejection, failure, self- doubt, and not being worthy of God's love. It's been amazing to discover God's extraordinary love and grace for us. This discovery has been life changing and although we still have a long way to go on our faith journey, we know who we are and who we are in God's eyes. This relationship with our GOD must be shared with everyone. So, here we go to St. PJ's to share the story of how God changed our lives and hoping these teen-aged girls, who have been broken by abuse, can come to know HIM though our time with them.
