Today was great!
It could not have happened without your clothing donations
or our amazing volunteer team.
I watched as each of our volunteers was interacting with the girls
and making special connections with them.
One girl, who has not spoken in almost two years, actually talked today!
It took that long for her to trust us.
We are in it for the long haul!
We hope you will join us for Taco Bar Fun in September!
What an amazing Chicktime day!!
We talked about the importance of taking care of yourself and discovering who you
really are. Then the girls were given the opportunity to have their nails and
makeup done. Each girl received a bag of self-care items for her to keep.
It was a day of pampering!
On top of that, Chicktime Marietta and Chicktime Atlanta came to visit
as well as Ashley Simmons from Chicktime National.
We had such a fun day making an impact and having fellowship with our
This month’s workshop was a major undertaking and we are so thankful to the ladies who stepped up and knocked it out of the park!
That includes all of our volunteers and those who donated supplies for our workshop. There is no way we could do this without you!
Today’s Valentine Themed Chicktime Conyers Event was a success!
A big Thank you to Gloria and her team, One Heart Ministry, Bicentennial Baptist
Church Ladies, Christy Medlock and all of the volunteers for serving together!
You each played a part in making today extra special for the girls at Elks Aidmore. They were so excited and felt so loved. 💕
Chicktime Conyers’ Unlock Your Potential Event
led by Women’s Empowerment Speaker Monica McCoy was truly inspiring.
The girls learned about their personalities, shared their career goals and even made up a morning aspiration chant! 💕
We look forward to another amazing event next month!
Chicktime Conyers Christmas Party with the girls of Elks Aidmore!
We had a blast making Christmas treats, singing karaoke, and playing games!
The Christmas plate drawing game was so fun!
The girls and Elks caregivers were given a Christmas gift. Thanks to all the volunteers who came out today and those that helped with gifts and food donations. Thank you for making these girls feel loved! Merry Christmas!
Another awesome Chicktime in the books! Shout out to all our beautiful volunteers 👏
We had a great time hanging out with the girls of Elks Aidmore. Munching on fall snacks, playing games, making bracelets and memories. We had a time of gratitude and it was so touching to have everyone (and I mean everyone, even the caretakers 💕) share.
There’s just something about getting a bunch of girls together and hanging out. It’s powerful, it’s a blessing.
It’s CHICKTIME. Join us at our next Chicktime event on December 8. Visit http://www.chicktime.com/ for more info.
What an amazing day!! Thank you, Amye, for taking time to share your crocheting skills with these girls!
I know we can’t take their pictures, but I wish you all could see their faces beaming with confidence at learning a new skill.
They were doing it so effortlessly!
It was nice for the girls to have their own bag of supplies, too!
Everything was perfect.
We played Heads Up and had a good laugh. Then they asked if we could come back every week. Those smiles and that joy makes every minute worth it.
We had such a wonderful time at our September workshop wth the girls at Elks Aidmore. Our leaders got to share stories that connected with the girls. We may not have the same exact story as the girls, but we have known hurts and have overcome them and are overcoming them still. The girls totally connected with the stories. We were amazed at how silent the room was as we shared our experiences. It was amazing to share with them.
We played fun trivia games and spent some time coloring.
We had snacks, we laughed, cried, and had a really great time. We love being involved with Chicktime more and more. We would love for you to join us.
What an amazing day!!! Thank you to everyone who made it possible!
We had so many volunteers and the girls got a ton of new back to school clothes. Garbage bags full.
They got new shoes, new jewelry, and they were able to get new make up as well.
They even had a make up tutorial.
With all the make up accessories they needed to try things out!
We had girls their own age speaking wisdom into their life.
It was an incredible day!
In addition to our Ice Cream Social we will be having a fashion show and a back to school shopping event in which the girls at Elks Aidmore can choose clothing that has been donated…(thank you)!!
It’s going to be a great one so don’t miss out!
What an amazing day!
We played cards….
Made friendship bracelets and angle bracelets….and just hung out.
The girls really enjoyed having us there and were opening up to us. It was great spending time getting to know them better….and they asked our two favorite questions~
1- “Can you stay longer?”
2- When are you coming back?’
We are so thankful we get to spend time encouraging them!
What an incredibly fun day! Thank you, Selina for teaching the girls sign language and talking about your ministry, Deaf Heartbeat.
I am so inspired by your story every time you share it.
Thank you for playing games with us that were fun and reinforced the importance of being able to communicate.
Today was fantastic!!
What a great time we had painting with the girls at our April Workshop!
Each painting uniquely made from the heart….
It’s amazing to hear the girls talk about the connections they have made since we started our Chicktime Chapter and volunteering once a month at Elks!
They aren’t the only ones who feel connected ….
These workshops are life changing for the girls and well as the volunteers.
Join us as we continue our mission of intentional love and encouragement.
Today was incredible! We were so glad to spend time with our friends from Chicktime National as well as some amazing ladies starting a new chapter in South Carolina.
Here are just some of the beautiful Blackout Poetry/creative writing pieces that were created during our workshop~
Don’t the pieces just take your breath away?
We had a great time with our girls and we even got to celebrate a birthday!
Please join us next month and the month after that and so on! Let’s show the girls that they matter!
We had a great Valentine’s Party with some amazing girls!
Today, we practiced the art of loving yourself. Each girl made a valentine card written to herself. It was such a great activity. Before they began, though, Chari read a poem by Charlie Chaplin called, “As I Began to Love Myself”. It is incredible. This is the poem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62oby83NtGw
These are just a few of the beautiful cards the girls made. We are so encouraged to see the number of volunteers is increasing as well as the number of girls participating. “Wrists are for bracelets, not cutting” is a quote from the last picture and certainly the reason we know we are called to help these young women reach their full potential!
We hope to see you next month!
What a blessing it was to bring Chicktime to Elks at this time of the year! Our FIRST Christmas party with the girls who live at Elks was amazing! We shared candy canes, pizza, desserts and laughs! The girls enjoyed the games and all the goodies, but we could especially tell they were just happy we were there!
We have an exciting year planned in 2018~
Please join us!
We are super stoked that Conyers Chicktime has partnered with an amazing nonprofit Elks Aidmore!!! It was a joy meeting the staff today and the campus is beautiful!
