Fort Myers News
Chicktime Ft. Myers will not be hosting our regularly scheduled workshop with the Florida Baptist Children’s Home. Instead, we invite you to come take part in another amazing event that is happening in our community on October 7th. We will be walking for Autism and raising awareness. We hope you have a spooky-good October and we’ll see you back at the children’s home in November!
Chicktime Ft. Myers is so grateful to Dr. Brian Byrnes, from Fort Myers Technical College ~ FMTC! He shared valuable information to the teens regarding career paths at this technical college. Dr. Byrnes inspirational presentation gave the teens options for a bright future.
Join us next month as we serve with our community at the local Autism Walk. Let’s raise awareness together!
This month the teens learned about fitness and nutrition. Carolyn led the workshop and provided some delicious, nutritious snacks! Charlie educated us about making healthy food choices and the teens also enjoyed working out. Thank you so much Carolyn and Charlie for putting this awesome workshop together for us!!
In an effort not to overwhelm the children’s home, please click on the invite above to RSVP for Chicktime April!!
Our Resume and Job Interview workshop was super helpful and very informative! A huge “Thank you!” to Savannah, our monthly leader. She did an amazing job! The teens learned so much and the adults did too.
We had such an awesome group of volunteers donating their time to encourage and teach how to play tennis! Everybody really had fun and improved their game by the end of the lesson. There were requests to have these lessons again.
Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers…it couldn’t have been done without each and every one of you!!
Thank you to everyone who helped with our Christmas Community Project! We decorated mugs, filled them with candy, and donated them to the Ft. Myers Police Department. We were given a tour of the police office. “Cool” and “Super cool” were comments from the kiddos. We hope to see you at Chicktime January!
This month we had a fantastic time playing Bingo! Winners were able to choose a beautiful piece of Lia Sophia jewelry. The fun and wonderful ladies at ACT were so intent on winning, you could hear a pin drop as they all hoped to get the winning number!
If if you’d like to join these wonderful events, or perhaps lead an event, please contact Michele Narbaiz. We’d love for you to share your enthusiasm and compassion with us. Hope to see you soon!!
