Meet The Leaders

 Denise Walker
Chicktime Ft. Worth Chapter Leader

Why I Serve a leadership role with Chicktime
I believe that whatever our goals are individually, together we will reach them faster, stronger and happier. In a leadership role, I can be instrumental in helping others share their feelings and concerns, explore creative ways to cope with their problems, learn from one another and celebrate, promote and support life events.
My Passions and Gifts
My passion is to contribute positively to the lives of others everyday and make our communities better places to live through ongoing kindness and generosity.  Because of my own unique life experiences, I believe that I have been blessed with the ability to relate to the various stages and challenges within life’s journey.
Hobbies and Interests
Traveling, spending time with my family, reading, gardening; any type of activity that provides me the opportunity to experience and appreciate all of life’s beauty.

Chicktime Ft. Worth Co-Leader

Why I serve a leadership role with Chicktime:
When I first read about Chicktime’s mission of serving others with the gifts and talents God has given us made me want to become a part of this great organization as a leader. Being able to serve others sharing God’s love and grace fills my soul. Surrounding ourselves with other like minded women and encouraging one another to make a difference in the lives of children is powerful.

My Passions and gifts:
I have a heart and compassion for helping the less fortunate and vulnerable of our community especially children and struggling women. The gift I have to share is my creativity, I believe everybody has been blessed with a  creative side and I like to help people let go and start creating art. Art is a great healing tool,  it has been very therapeutic for me.

Hobbies and Interests:
I enjoy creating things especially with vibrant color. I  love hosting art parties, painting acrylic abstracts and dog portraits, taking nature walks for inspiration, traveling on mission trips with my daughters and spending time getting to know God’s plan for my life.

Why I Serve a Leadership Role with Chicktime:
I joined Chicktime as a way to give back to my community and being in a leadership position gives me the opportunity to have a more direct impact on the way Chicktime ministers to those in Tarrant County.  Being a leader also gives me the chance to help women find and fulfill their own unique role as a Chicktime member.

My Passions and Gifts:
I have a passion for helping others through difficult times in their lives.  God has sent wonderful people to help me when I needed it most and I am enjoying being able to give back.  People often tell me that I am a great organizer, but I’ve only recently started to understand what they mean.  I seem to have a knack for creating order out of chaos.  Who knew?

Hobbies and Interests:
I am a wife and mother, so much of my interests revolve around my family.  When I do get alone time, I LOVE to spend it reading!  I have been fortunate enough to be able to home school my son which is both rewarding and challenging.  Homeschooling has provided a unique chance for me to rediscover subjects that I formerly took for granted.
