Meet The Leaders

Brittney Ferguson
Chicktime New Braunfels Managing  Leader

Why I serve a leadership role with Chicktime: I serve because God has put a calling on my life to pour into young mothers, and the young mothers at St. Jude’s Ranch for Children need some extra love an encouragement from us all. It only took one visit with the girls to know that I wanted to be involved long-term, and on a deeper level. I’m so thankful for this opportunity to be the leader of our New Braunfels chapter.

My passions and gifts: My desire is to raise my daughters as strong, confident women of God, and for our home to be a safe place for the hurting and lost.  I feel that I am gifted at loving people right where they are and coming alongside them.

Hobbies and interests: My husband is a pastor on staff at our church, and I am a stay-at-home mom and photographer. In my free time I enjoy sewing and craft projects, art, and of course photography!

Why I serve a leadership role with Chicktime: We are all wonderfully made and perfect in our way Our struggles in life, past and present circumstances, enable us to share those experiences and change how we see ourselves in others as well as building strong relationships. Mistakes or failures take us to a new level of growth, understanding, and wisdom. There is no randomness to our lives and what our purpose is. “Love one another” and love takes many shapes and forms!

My hobbies and interests: I love to read and learn new things. I enjoy outdoor activities such as tubing the Guadalupe (mainly just sitting in the water) with friends, horseback riding, listening to great music and singing. Spending time is family is always important as well!

My passions and gifts: I find the gifts I’ve been blessed with are always evolving around the seasons of my life. I enjoy spending time listening to people’s stories. I taught Kindergarten for 30 years so maybe I have the gift if patience, compassion, listening and encouraging others o embrace our uniqueness and differences.

Chicktime New Braunfels Chapter Co-Leader

Why I serve a leadership role with Chicktime:  I moved to New Braunfels from Austin 3 years ago. I searched for a way to serve in my “new” community and stumbled across Chicktime. I had never heard of this, but immediately knew in my heart THIS WAS IT! I feel like Chicktime is the perfect way to bridge the gap between those less fortunate who are in need and the women of the community who want to serve but don’t know where to start . I am thankful I stumbled across Chicktime that day and this role will allow me  to bring encouragement and inspiration to those who don’t have enough of it in their day to day life.

My hobbies & interests: I was born and Raised in Austin. This put a love in my heart for all things Music! I love concerts ,and live music! I love to read and plan social gatherings with friends. I have 2 dogs ,and 1 granddog that I love to do things with and give them their best life.

My passions & gifts: I have a passion for helping others, especially when it comes to women and children. I got this from my Mom, she was VERY passionate about helping others and instilled this in me early on as I was growing up. I’ve been through a lot myself over the years. If it weren’t for my faith, my family, and my friends I’m not sure I would have made it through. During my most difficult times, I always thought about women who were also in my situation without support and prayed very hard for them. This role allows me to not only fulfill that passion to help but to also help those who I know don’t have the support I did. My Mom passed away and I pray that I am able to encourage and inspire other women the same way she did me during my hardest times
