Meet The Leaders

Brittney Ferguson
Chicktime New Braunfels Managing  Leader

Why I serve a leadership role with Chicktime: I serve because God has put a calling on my life to pour into young mothers, and the young mothers at St. Jude’s Ranch for Children need some extra love an encouragement from us all. It only took one visit with the girls to know that I wanted to be involved long-term, and on a deeper level. I’m so thankful for this opportunity to be the leader of our New Braunfels chapter.

My passions and gifts: My desire is to raise my daughters as strong, confident women of God, and for our home to be a safe place for the hurting and lost.  I feel that I am gifted at loving people right where they are and coming alongside them.

Hobbies and interests: My husband is a pastor on staff at our church, and I am a stay-at-home mom and photographer. In my free time I enjoy sewing and craft projects, art, and of course photography!

Why I serve a leadership role with Chicktime: We are all wonderfully made and perfect in our way Our struggles in life, past and present circumstances, enable us to share those experiences and change how we see ourselves in others as well as building strong relationships. Mistakes or failures take us to a new level of growth, understanding, and wisdom. There is no randomness to our lives and what our purpose is. “Love one another” and love takes many shapes and forms!

My hobbies and interests: I love to read and learn new things. I enjoy outdoor activities such as tubing the Guadalupe (mainly just sitting in the water) with friends, horseback riding, listening to great music and singing. Spending time is family is always important as well!

My passions and gifts: I find the gifts I’ve been blessed with are always evolving around the seasons of my life. I enjoy spending time listening to people’s stories. I taught Kindergarten for 30 years so maybe I have the gift if patience, compassion, listening and encouraging others o embrace our uniqueness and differences.

Why I serve a leadership role with Chicktime: I have been praying about a way to get involved in my new community (only been here 2 years) and when I was introduced to Chicktime, I knew it was the place for me. I desire to help rally a team of like- minded women who strive to empower and build others up- to give hope to those who seem to have little or none. I want to be part of a positive change in my community and I believe Chicktime is a wonderful organization to do that through!

My hobbies & interests: Bible study and prayer, travel and exploring new places, hill country rides on the back of hubby’s Harley, all kinds of crafting, swimming, hiking, outdoor games, camping, trying new restaurants, markets and trade shows, gardening, anything health related, cooking, and much more!

My passions & gifts: Hospitality, caring for others, meeting people’s needs in as mch as I am able, passionate for justice when it comes to human trafficking and taking advantage of those who cannot defend themselves, learning about people- where they come from, where they are going and how they overcome adversity! This area of life changes as I grow and seek God in my life!
