In September join us some fun crafts with the girls from Seton Home on the 21st. This event will be hosted by Susan Camilleri. More details to follow. Set up will be at 10:15am and the activity will begin at 11am.

 

August Highlights

 

Chicktime volunteers had a great time at Seton home this month. This was our first time to hang out with the moms and babies at the new emergency shelter, Casa de Milagros.

 

Michelle Kelly led this month’s activity of crafts. Check out the picture! The flower is made out of strips of magazines, buttons added to the center, and sits on top of a mason jar. I believe mason jars have made a strong comeback in the craft world, especially since Pinterest!

 

 

The moms loved craft time and our volunteers worked along beside of them and made a few flowers also. We were very fortunate to have a few new volunteers from Lackland Airforce Base, one of which spoke fluent Spanish, allowing us to communicate better with some of the moms.

 

So the moms could enjoy some stress-free craft time, our Chicktime gals babysat. We love our Chicktime baby-rockers! We had six babies and one toddler. Whew! It was so much fun to love on these sweet little ones.

 

Come join us next month back at Seton Home-residential shelter. More craft time is on the agenda! We would love for you to join us in spending time with the moms, rocking babies, and/or chasing after toddlers!
