Meet The Leaders

Hello! My name is Elizabeth, I am a mother to three young girls and the wife of a hardworking, loving man. I love God, fresh flowers, and a quiet day at the beach. I am an attorney with a focus on child welfare and family matters. Every day at the office I face a new challenge with these complex and emotional cases. But serving the needs of children and families is my calling. To balance out the hard days at work I believe in surrounding oneself with positive people, smiling at strangers and helping those in need. Every day is a new beginning. Take a deep breath, smile, and start again.
I was honored when asked to join a leadership role in Chicktime. Working in child welfare law my entire legal career puts me in a unique position to lead our volunteers and educate them on the local child welfare system and what they can do to help serve their needs. I truly have a passion for helping kids in care, especially the high risk ones that are often forgotten. So I am honored to be a part of this organization.
My hobbies & interest:
Between work and raising my children I don’t have a lot of extra time. When I do, I love to get crafty or get outdoors- nothing beats a quiet day at the beach or a fun day at the pool with the kids.
My Passions & Gifts:
I’ve been told I’m a good listener and problem solver. I tend to be one people naturally come to seeking advice, I guess that’s one of the qualities that makes me great for my profession. I am able to objectively navigate emotional situations and guide others through difficult times. I am passionate about helping others and being a voice for the voiceless.

Since a young age, I have been drawn and developed a passion for serving others. The work we do with the young lives we help hits very close to home for me. I strongly believe I have a greater purpose in life, which is to empower, encourage, share kindness, and shine a positive light on those around me.
I was extremely honored when asked to serve as a leader for our Tampa Chapter. We are currently doing wonderful work in the community and have the potential to grow in order to create so much more. I cannot wait to continue to give back in my community, be a part of this growing organization, and continue to shape young lives. Moreover, I stand as leader and promise to encourage those around me with the purpose to show others (especially those who need it most) that there is kindness in this world. One can change their life completely around but it takes a decision in yourself in order to do so with the help of those around you. The thought of sparking one individual to be better and want better is what motivates me. I want to have a positive impact on others lives even if it is for one person.
Gym, art, the outdoors, helping others, and developing a positive mindset call to me. The gym is my sanctuary. I am an avid weightlifter with hopes of one day going on stage for a competition. In the meantime, I am working on getting back into my creative side (primarily drawing and some painting) and enjoying the outdoors since they used to be a big part of my life and bring me much joy! Helping others is a passion of mine as well that which continues to grow as time goes on. I yearn to share my knowledge and story one day to help others in similar situations. Everything I do in my life, personal and work, I try to do with a positive outlook. Positivity does not just happen. It takes time. It is a lifelong journey to remain positive and to become mindful of ones self. This is a path I have recently found. Having the right mindset is key to success in other aspects of your life. Being positive will open more doors for one than being negative.
Throughout my childhood into my adulthood, one of the primary items that have remained consistent within myself is my passion to personally evolve. I love to learn knew ways to improve upon my physical & mental strength, understand those around me, develop new tools/knowledge at work, etc. Striving to better myself in all areas of my life – health, physically, mentally, spiritually, and intuitively – is to add value not only to myself but also to those around me. As mentioned above, I believe I was put on this earth to do more than just work but to use my personal experiences, passion, creativity, and diligent manner to do good and give back. Thus, personal continuous improvement and using my passion to help/improve lives are my gifts.
