Meet The Leaders

 Lana Harrell
Chicktime Tulsa Managing Chapter Leader

Why I Serve a Leadership Role with Chicktime:

I love to give and have always wanted to feel that I want to make a difference in the lives of others. Being involved with Chicktime allows me the opportunity to participate in a group that is all about helping women and children feel some extra love and attention.   I have also been involved in a domestic abuse situation and I survived!   It wasn’t easy and I was also a single mother. I had a lot of support from my friends and family and now I have the time to finally feel that I can “give back.”

My Passions and Gifts:
I have 4 adorable grandbabies that absolutely love and enjoy spending as much time with them as I can. I also have recently started taking classes to finally work towards my degree plan in Graphic Design.

My Hobbies and Interests:
It has taken me about 20 years to figure out and more importantly have time for a hobby or an interest in something for myself.  I discovered that I really enjoy painting on reclaimed wood from old barns and buildings and hope that one day it could turn into my full time job.

Why I serve a leadership role with Chicktime:
Hi, My name is Khandis Marie and I am a survivor of abuse, so I know firsthand what it feels like to have no hope, I know what those bad days feel like, when everyone around you says they understand but in all actuality they really don’t, being apart of Chicktime Tulsa is important for me, because this is where my healing is going to come from; at one point in my life I use to live at Laura Dester Children’s Shelter so being able to go back and pour into these young girls and give them something positive to look forward to and show them that there are better days, and this situation doesn’t define them, could have only been orchestrated by God, they are showing me the purpose for my pain and for that I am truly grateful!

My Passions and Gifts:
I am passionate about helping people of all ages, but mainly young girls by showing them find different ways to express themselves.

My Hobbies and Interests:
I love reading and writing poetry and being outdoors.
