Woodworking Time!
October Update:
Thank you Phoenix Wetsel for the amazing workshop this month. The theme was dia de los Muertos and the activities included face painting, making luminaries, writing messages to your loved ones, and taking turns trying to break open the piñata. All this while listening to the music of the season. The teens at SJRC had a great time; they didn’t want to leave. This all could not be possible with out great volunteers: Phoenix Wetsel and Ranger for the awesome workshop; Leanne and Avery Strum who did such a great job with the face painting; Michele Fey-Swellander; Cathy; Tara Chapman Johnson; Maria Alex Ibarra; Elizabeth Hepp and her friend Pam, and Merrilee Shisk Berger.

After all the festivities, the teens and staff were treated to a Nacho Bar Lunch. Thank you to the amazing, very generous Rahe Bulverde PTA for giving the leftovers from the teacher luncheon to Chicktime Bulverde to share with the teens.
Looking for a volunteer opportunity, please contact Merrilee Shisk Berger for details on Chicktime Bulverde. Now until October 27th, we are collecting candy and individual snacks for the Annual SJRC Halloween Party. Contact Merrilee for pick-up. Thank you!
